Our story
We started in 2019 with a thrifted double boiler, a bag of soy flakes and a spreadsheet of fragrance tests.
The first candles were gifts for friends. They were uneven, a little too strong and the labels were crooked. People asked for more anyway, so we kept going: better wicks, longer cure times, a proper scale instead of kitchen scoops.
What we care about
We would rather make six scents we love than twenty we don't. Each fragrance goes through at least a dozen test pours before it is added to the shelf, and some never make it. We also refuse to add colour. Soy wax is naturally off-white, and that is what you get.
The workshop
Three of us work in a converted garage with two melting pots, a long pouring table and an unreasonable number of labelled boxes. Pour days are Tuesdays; Thursdays are for wrapping and shipping. Everything else is packing tape and coffee.
Packaging
Candles ship in recycled paper pulp, no plastic fillers. Jars are meant to be reused, and we will happily take empty ones back for refilling if you are nearby.
